- Zero Pressure Device (ZPD) - Ensures that the cooker remains locked until the
pressure inside drops to zero. Locking Device - ZPD also ensures that no pressure
is built up unless fully locked. Uni-Directional Pressure Regulator - Ensures
safe release of steam away from you. Fusible Safety Device - It is special heat
sensitive alloy in the ZPD which melts when too much pressure builds up, letting
out steam. The Gasket Release System - Releases the excess pressure safely downwards.
It is activated in the event of any blockage in the vent tube.
